THE VISIONARY

Kathy Bichsel

Rev. Kathy Bichsel founded Hope for the Nations Worship Center in Jamesburg, NJ in 1998. An apostolic training center, Hope for the Nations Worship Center serves as a place where people throughout the region are experiencing the transforming power of God’s presence, being thoroughly equipped to fulfill their God given destinies in both pulpit and marketplace ministries. With a vision to equip and empower all the saints for the work of the ministry, she launched Hope for the Nations School of Ministry in 2004.

A graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center, Pastor Kathy has been in full-time ministry for twenty five years. Ministering with a passion to see the glorious Church arise, she speaks at Pastor’s and Women’s Conferences, with her reach expanding globally to touch nations such as India, South Africa and Uganda. She is currently establishing Joseph’s House, a boarding school for orphans in Kampala, Uganda.

A People

A People You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1Peter 2:9

A People Who are Aflame

Arising . . . Coming out of the wilderness of disappointment and delayed promises, we are now “armed and dangerous” ready to seize the inheritance that belongs to us in Jesus Christ. Darkness may be increasing over the earth but “our light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon us!”  (Isaiah 60:1)

Free . . . Experiencing the spiritual, emotional, and physical freedom Jesus Christ offers us, we are supernaturally liberated to fulfill God’s master plan for our lives. The chains of sin, shame, and addiction have given way to a transformed mind filled with hope for the future.  (John 8:36)

Lovers of God and One another . . . Cultivating a culture of honor we value the worth of every person in the sight of God. As we are conformed into the image of Jesus Christ, His mercy and compassion compel us to reach out and raise up all in need of God’s unfailing love.  (John 15:17)

Apostolic . . . Recognizing the “harvest is ripe, but the laborers are few,” we heed the call to go into our world with the gospel. As disciples of Jesus Christ we move into our God-given sphere of influence fully equipped to spread the fire of God’s restoring love to the nations.  (Mark 16:15)

Maturing in the Spirit and the Word . . . Allowing the person of the Holy Spirit to quicken the Word of God to our hearts, we grow in grace and the knowledge of God. We are led, filled and changed by His Spirit. We are strengthened, comforted, and empowered for life through the promises of His Word.

Engaged in Prayer . . . Calling on His name is the breath of the Church. The power to change the hearts of men and the course of the nations rests in the hands of a people who embrace the privilege of prayer. The authority of the believer in prayer is the secret to every endeavor of life and ministry.

A Place

LORD, I have loved the habitation of Your house, and the place where Your glory dwells.  Psalm 26:8

And when the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all assembled together in one place…Acts 2:1

A Place of Acts

Awakening… The love and light of Jesus Christ is making a new day dawn upon us. We are arising from the bed of dead works and spiritual lethargy to a new life of righteousness and destiny as His glorious Church.  (Ephesians 5:14-15)

Celebration . . . The fire of His love fills our hearts with desire to live fully devoted to Jesus Christ. The expression of our corporate worship reflects the freedom and joy of celebrating His goodness, favor, and providential care over us.  (Luke 24:52-53)

Triumph . . . An aroma of victory fills our atmosphere as we live a life of faith in Jesus Christ.  Faith in God’s Word enables us to access the blessings of the kingdom, overcome the powers of darkness, and is “our victory that overcomes the world.”  (1 John 5:4)

Supernatural Power . . . Jesus Christ is the Living God! He is alive in His people by His Spirit still doing from Heaven what He did while here on earth. We honor the presence of the prophetic voice and miracles of His Spirit as the vital means of His kingdom coming in demonstration to our generation.  (Acts 4:33)

Our Point of View

Our Point of View We view our world through the “lens of the Bible” which we believe to be the infallible and authoritative Word of God. All scripture is inspired by God, reliable for correcting, reproving, and instructing us on how God wants us to truly live.

God We believe that there is only one God who has revealed Himself in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three persons are the same being with the same nature and character and exist in perfect unity eternally.

Man Man was made in the image of God as the supreme object of God’s creation. Through disobedience to God, man forfeited the glory, intimacy and blessing God intended mankind to possess. Sickness, death and judgment entered into the world causing man to experience the consequences of sin. This “sin” separates man from God.

Jesus Christ Jesus is God and the second person of the Godhead. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, Mary, and lived a sinless human life walking on the earth as both God and man. He was crucified on a cross to be the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all mankind, then resurrected from the dead, and is now alive today in the presence of God the Father and in His people.

Salvation Salvation is a gift of grace from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ and his offer of forgiveness can man be saved from the penalty of sin. Eternal life begins the moment one repents, believes and receives Jesus Christ into his life as Savior and Lord.

Holy Spirit Every believer in Jesus Christ can be baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit. This baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 1:4-8 and 2:4, is poured out on believers so that they may have power to be witnesses. We believe these scriptures confirm the initial evidence of this experience to be speaking with other tongues as the “Spirit gives the utterance.” Through His indwelling presence, the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit also helps the believer live holy and minister super-naturally. We believe in the operation of all nine gifts of the Spirit and encourage our people to live, so these gifts may be manifested in their lives

Baptisms and Communion We practice both water baptisms and communion as instructed in the scriptures. Baptisms are a public act used to identify our lives with Christ; first with His death and then with His resurrection into new life. Communion is a time of deep reflection and recommitment to Jesus and to His Church.

Divine Healing The victorious redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of sickness and disease. We believe in divine healing for the body, the lying on of hands and welcome the gifts of healing in our midst. Never, however, do we condemn medical science.

The Church We believe in the universal church of believers that consists of local churches throughout the world. The Church exists to execute the ministry of Jesus Christ, advancing the kingdom of God through lives of love and service. Mantled with love we disciple the nations by undoing the works of darkness, and teaching them to love and obey God. Every Christian needs to be connected to such “a church” where they can serve others and their community in a tangible way.

Freedom of Worship We believe in passionately loving and glorifying Jesus and celebrating the presence of the Holy Spirit in our corporate gatherings. We welcome every form of expression being done decently and in order: clapping, lifting hands, dancing, and the singing of spontaneous songs. We follow the anointing of the Holy Spirit through the five-fold leadership present in our gatherings.

The Blessing Through Jesus Christ the blessing promised to Abraham has come upon all who believe. (Galatians 3:14) We belong to Christ and are Abraham’s seed. (Galatians 3:29) In Christ we are all sons of God by faith (Galatians 3:26) and have inherited Abraham’s blessing of financial prosperity. As royal sons and daughters of God, our full inheritance includes freedom from poverty, giving us the capacity to have all of our needs met through “His riches in glory.” (Philippians 4:19) The blessing enables us to generously and audaciously care for the poor, the widow, the orphan and ministry works, thereby fulfilling the requirements of “true religion.” (James 1:27)

Family We believe in the sacredness of marriage between one man and one woman and family commitment. The biblical model of family is the strong foundation of the Church and our society and its values are promoted among us. Jesus “heals the brokenhearted” then sets them in the family of God where they can receive the Father’s love and be restored from the wounds of a broken family.

Our Blessed Hope The ever increasing government of God on the earth will usher in the glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ for His overcoming Bride, His Church. According to the Bible, there is a heaven and there is a hell. There will be a resurrection of the saved, those in Christ, to everlasting life and a resurrection of the lost, those outside of Christ, to everlasting death.

S.O.F.A. Groups

SOFA Groups S.O.F.A. Groups is the small groups fellowship arm of Hope for the Nations Worship Center. With S.O.F.A. Groups, we seek to provide an environment designed so that the Body of Christ may function relationally. There are a total of 5 area groups within NJ, where you can attend based on subject matter.

STUDY

One purpose is to provide a place where people can Study God’s word, ask questions, express concerns, and interact with other believers. By studying together, believers also GROW together!

OUTREACH

SOFA groups also provide a great outreach opportunity to invite guests. Many people feel intimidated if they’re asked to participate in a formal church service on a Sunday morning; but they might visit a home with a small group of Christians in a relaxed setting and in such a setting they often feel warmth and connection.

FELLOWSHIP

Fellowship is an important part of SOFA groups. The Bible emphasizes the importance of Christians spending time talking, praying, laughing, sharing and even eating together. Fellowship bonds people together in Christ. SOFA groups are designed to promote healthy Christian fellowship.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Finally, SOFA groups help to hold us accountable. In the context of meeting only once a week, you may not be missed on Sunday mornings if you are absent. People may not know you have had a sickness in your family or are going through a difficult time; but if you are connected to people in a smaller setting, you will receive personal ministry. We all need encouragement and accountability. God planned it that way!

Prayer

Jesus disciples asked, “Lord, teach us to Pray!”

As disciples of Jesus Christ it is a privilege to release God’s will on the earth as it is in heaven! Hope for the Nations Worship Center is committed to serving our world as a house of prayer for all nations. We are a people who partner with God in fasting and prayer to see His Kingdom come, that “the earth would be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” To this end we pray and do not faint trusting the Holy Spirit to help us to pray when we do not even know what to pray for.

We invite you to enter into God’s presence with us in our corporate gatherings. We passionately contend for the will of God and the glory of God in our generation. Join us in contending for the nations, our nation, the church and our families. God promises to answer!

Worship

We desire to passionately love and glorify Jesus in our gatherings. King David wrote, “With my whole being, body and soul I will shout joyfully to the Lord!” (Psalm 84:2) Today, our hearts and yes, even our bodies, respond to His glorious presence that fills our hearts with joy. With uplifted hands, dancing feet, or shouts of praise freedom infuses our worship. We are currently rotating regional worship leaders in our services, but are in need of a permanent worship leader. If interested, please contact the church office at [email protected]

Keys to Freedom

Our Deliverance Ministry, Keys to Freedom, is about helping people come into the victory that Christ died to give them. The purpose of ministering deliverance is to set free those who are in bondage. As Jesus was sent forth to preach deliverance to the captives, “The Spirit of the Lord is Upon me because He hath anointed me to…preach deliverance to the Captives…” (Luke 4:18), so we are also sent out “Then said Jesus to them, as my Father hath sent me, even so I send you” (John 20:21), to do the works He did “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also….” (John 14:12), and this includes the casting out of devils (Matthew 10:8).

Hope for the Nations Worship Center is carrying out that mandate from Jesus by offering deliverance ministry to members and non-members who are yearning to be free. Our compassionate team can help you experience the spiritual, physical and emotional wholeness that Jesus died for you to have.
Are you . . .

Plagued with unforgiveness?
Feeling guilty and condemned over your past?
Depressed?
Experiencing consistent emotional pain?
Experiencing feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem?
Addicted to alcohol, nicotine, drugs or pornography?
Driven by lusts and perversion?
Struggling with personal relationships?
Or a family member involved in the occult?
A victim of emotional, sexual abuse or trauma?

These could be indicators of open doors to demonic activity in your life and symptomatic of the enemy having made inroads in his desire to devour your life. Jesus wants you to be restored and made whole. As it was He who said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10).

Our ministry is offered free of charge, although love offerings for HFNWC are accepted.

If you would like to speak with one of our biblical counselors, please call Rev. Rhonda Soto at 732-605-1395.

Reaching Nations

Joseph’s House

We currently are working within the country of Uganda, where the Lord has opened the doors for us to sow seed and reap a harvest that is plentiful. Unlike the traditional orphanage where just the basic of human needs are met, our vision is to build a world-class boarding school where the children can receive a Christian education that will thoroughly equip them for their God-given destinies. They will be the next generation leaders of Uganda, bringing the Kingdom of God to the government, education, business and the worship sectors of their nation. In the interim we have been clothing, feeding, housing and educating forty of these children until the walls are built for our facility.

Pastors Joseph Kaweesa and his wife, Florence, who grew up as an orphan herself, have helped spearhead our efforts in Kampala to care for these beautiful children.

Visit Joseph’s House at www.josephskids.org

Thank you so very much for your generous support of Hope for the Nations Worship Center.

But though I appreciate your gifts, what makes me happiest is the well-earned reward you will have because of your kindness. - Philippians 4:17 (Living Bible)
